First time in Australia from the U.K., the trip to Taronga was great! Ferry on time, friendly staff & made us a memorable time. The time Taronga was far exceeded our expectations! Beautiful, clean, brilliant animals & staff, very friendly & helpful - didn’t want to leave!

The Ferry from Sydney Harbor to Taronga Zoo was a pleasant ride and the cable car ride from the dock to the zoo enteance gave you a spectacular view. The zoo did have a large variety of animals but the koalas were the most popular and the main reason we went. My wife and friend wanted their picture taken with them. You are not allowed to touch them, but they take a professional photograph with you under a tree with a koala in it. After which they allow you to take photographs on your own in the koala enclosure. There is a charge and you do have to make a reservation of which they make a limited amount each day. They have several talking exhibits throughout the day. You can walk, bus or cable car back to the ferry for another pleasant ride across the harbor.

The Taronga Zoo is incredible. I would recommend going for a few hours so you can see all the unique animals they have.

Spend a wonderful day looking at the koalas, kangaroos and the thousands of animals plus excellent talks. The ferry and the cable car is an added value with a beautiful view of the harbor.

The zoo was wonderful, but incorrect information was given to us that we could use the 1pm hop on hop off ferry as well as the regular ferries for our trip back to Sydney. We wasted 2 hours of our time waiting for the next ferry.

A wonderful zoo, but a lot of up and down walking. I actually preferred Featherdale Park as it was more of a hands-on zoo with more interaction with the animals. However, I did like the views of Sydney from the zoo. We actually have much better zoos back home in Milwaukee and Chicago.

Great zoo, most informative zookeepers, wonderful assortment of well cared for animals with large clean enclosures. Elephants, tigers, meerkats, seals, koalas and more. And what a amazing view!! There is no other zoo in the world with a view like this. Seeing the spectacular view of Sydney Harbor and the city skyline from the top of the mountain across the harbor where the zoo sits? That alone is worth the price of the ticket. The best view of all is from the Free-Flight Bird Show. Ferry ride across the harbor was quick and easy. Then the Sky Safari aerial tram ride up the hill from the water was cool too.

Not sure what I liked better, the trip to the zoo on the ferry was fantastic - we started at Darling Harbor and the ferry stopped at the Sydney harbor to pick up passengers - then off to the zoo. The trip was fantastic - loved seeing Sydney from the water. Then we got to the zoo - once you dock you walk up to the tram which takes you to the top of the hill - on the way you are going over some of the animals which is great. The zoo is very well designed - you walk down hill all the way to view the animals and then get on the ferry to go back home. The animals in the zoo were very interesting - nice environments and unusual animals for those of us visiting from the USA

The ferry ride was beautiful on the way to the zoo. Once you get to the zoo, you get to take the sky safari to the entrance and again, more amazing views. The zoo itself is awesome. It’s huge but pretty easy to navigate. It was extremely hot, so a lot of the animals were just lounging in the shade but we were still able to see them all. This was really good at the beginning taking the ferry across the Sydney harbour to get to Taronga Zoo and we did went up the gondola to the zoo. Spent the day at the zoo which was great then we came back to the dock to catch our ferry back there a lot of people and when the ferry arrived it was quite a small one that could only fit about 60 people I think. We were a group of 14 and not all of us made it on the first ferry. It was bad, especially when the skipper of the ferry who was on his own said that there was another ferry right behind him. So we took the first ferry and only 12 of us were on it leaving behind 2 people of our group behind to catch the ferry that was coming. We made it across to the dock on the circular quay side and then the same ferry departed. We had to wait for our remaining 2 to arrive for our group to be reunited again. 20 minutes or so later the same ferry that dropped us back was the same one that went back to pick up the remaining number of people. Firstly that skipper lied and us trying on board the first ferry lots of people were pushing it was messy and disgusting there was no need for such unorganised boarding but there were not enough staff to assist with boarding. Overall we were not happy with the service ending the trip but it was what it was but it goes to show we will not recommend this cruise company or take it again.
